Afterwards, travel to Marrakech.

Day 3

Marrakech

Marrakech, set against the magnificent backdrop of the High Atlas. The souks, the location in an oasis of palm trees and red clay buildings, give Marrakech the character of a desert city. You will see the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Bab Agnaou, the souks, and the famous Djemaa El Fna square, where you can always see merchants, folk artists, storytellers, jugglers, musicians, card players, and snake charmers.

Day 4

Marrakech – Ouarzazate

Journey through the fertile Haouz plain and a fantastic mountainous landscape up to the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260 m). From there, you have a breathtaking view of the High Atlas ranges and peaks. This road is one of the most scenic and spectacular routes through the mountains of Morocco. Visit Ait Benhaddou, a kasbah still very well preserved.

Day 5

Ouarzazate – Taroudant

Continue towards Taroudant. After crossing several mountain passes with stunning views of the Anti-Atlas and the Souss plain, you reach Taroudant. The former capital of the Souss plain is beautifully located in the middle of an intensive agricultural area. Fertile fields, gardens, olive groves, and orange groves surround Taroudant, making it the hub of agriculture in the Souss region.
