Day 1
Casablanca – Rabat
Arrival in Casablanca, the famous economic capital of Africa. Visit the Hassan II Mosque (from the outside) and the Corniche. Continue to Rabat.
Day 2
Rabat – Meknès – Fès
Rabat impresses with its high altitude, picturesque Kasbah, and major sites of interest for foreign tourists. Visit the Royal Palace (outside), the unfinished Hassan Tower – a symbol of the city, the Kasbah of the Oudayas, Chellah, and the magnificent mausoleum of polished white marble of the late King Mohammed V and Hassan II. Continue to Meknès, where you will visit the monumental Bab Mansour gate. Continue onward to Fès.
Day 3
Fès
Today’s visit is to the oldest and most important of Morocco’s four imperial cities. Enter the astonishing labyrinth of alleys, souks, and mosques within the UNESCO-protected medina. Fès is a city of arts and crafts, with countless small workshops. The tour includes the carpenters', dyers', tanners', and tailors' quarters, passing by the regular hammering of coppersmiths. You will also see the Kairouan Mosque, the oldest in the Arab world, and the Attarine Medersa.
Day 4
Fès – Erfoud
Continue southwards. Pass through cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, then reach the summit of the Zad Pass and the barren mountains with steep cliffs, crossing deep canyons along the upper part of the Ziz River valley. From here, enjoy a magnificent view of the mud-brick houses and the lush oasis gardens. Arrive at Erfoud by the end of the day.
Day 5
Erfoud – Ouarzazate
Travel through a rolling desert plateau with small sand dunes and oases to Tinghir and the impressive Todra Gorges. The nearly vertical rock walls rise up to 300 meters high and are only 10 meters wide at the narrowest point of the canyon. Continue along the Route of 1001 Kasbahs and the scenic, charming Dades Valley, with its chain of Berber villages and oasis gardens, until you reach Ouarzazate.
Day 6
Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Visit Aït Benhaddou, the impressive fortified village on the southern edge of the High Atlas, which has often served as a film set. Then continue through fantastic mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260 m). This road is one of the most scenic and spectacular routes through Morocco’s mountains.
Day 7
Marrakech
Visit Marrakech, including the Palmeraie located near the High Atlas mountains, an oasis on the edge of the desert. In this city, you will feel both Africa and the Orient at once. At the city’s entrance, over 100,000 palm trees rise, offering a splendid view. The lively souks, the Palmeraie, and the red buildings give Marrakech its desert ambiance. You will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, a masterpiece of Hispano-Moorish architecture, the Menara Gardens, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, Bab Agnaou (the oldest gate of the Medina), the souks, and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where merchants, storytellers, jugglers, musicians, and card players gather all day long, often with long queues!
Day 8
Marrakech – Casablanca Airport
After breakfast, transfer to Casablanca Airport.
